Gliclaz M 80 mg/500 mg Tablet is an oral anti-diabetic medication used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults. It combines two active ingredients: Gliclazide (a sulfonylurea) and Metformin (a biguanide). Gliclazide increases insulin secretion from the pancreas to help lower blood sugar levels, while Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver, slows intestinal glucose absorption, and improves insulin sensitivity.
How to Use
Take Gliclaz M 80 mg/500 mg Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- Swallow the tablet whole with water.
- Do not chew, crush, or break it.
- It should be taken with food to reduce the risk of stomach upset and low blood sugar.
Precautions

Do not take this medicine if you:
- Have type 1 diabetes mellitus
- Have diabetic ketoacidosis (a serious diabetes complication with high blood acid levels)
- Suffer from severe kidney or liver disease

- Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
